MI FAMILIA - Vocabulario mínimo de uso conversacional. Part 2.

Alright, let's get going. Here is the next section of the La Familia unit.

tío (-a) – uncle, aunt

primo (-a) - cousin
sobrino (-a) - nephew, niece
pariente - relative (be careful "pariente" is
             a translator's false friend - people
tend to confuse it with "parent"
             which is not correct)

de parte de la madre (del padre) - from my mother's/father's family (line)
Like in: No han quedado parientes de parte de mi madre. - there are no more relatives left on my mother's part of the family.

parientes lejanos - far relatives

novio (-a) - boyfriend, girlfriend (fiancé, fiancée)

yerno - son-in-law
nuera - daughter-in-law

marido - husband (colloquial)
(la) mujer - wife (colloquial)

esposo (-a) - husband, wife (official)
cónyuges – a married couple, a husband and a wife

suegro - father-in-law
suegra - mother-in-law

That is enough for the current section. Enjoy the video:

The only other thing I was going to say is - take care and stay motivated studying Spanish!

Lots of love and respect,

Igor
