MI FAMILIA - Vocabulario mínimo de uso conversacional. Part 1.

I realize, most of the following vocab must be familiar for many of you, but let's still look it through I am pretty sure we can find something interesting and unfamiliar.


Los familiares - family members


hermano (-a) - brother, sister
   hermano mayor - elder brother
   hermana menor - younger sister


hijo (-a) - son, daughter
   hijastro - stepson
   hijastra - stepdaughter


padres - parents
   padre (papa') - father
   padrastro - stepfather
   madre (mama') mother
   madrastra - stepmother


padrino - Godfather
madrina - Godmother


abuelos - grandparents
   abuelo (abuelito) - grandfather (granddaddy)
   abuela (abuelita) - grandmother (granny)


nieto (-a) - grandson, granddaughter


gemelos - twins
   mellisos - twins (same egg)
   hermanos (-as) gemelos (-as) - twin brothers, twin sisters


Well, I'd say that's about it for today. Learn new words and make at least one sentence with each of them (the ones that were new for you).
