¡Hola amigos y amigas! Today I am going to leave you all with seven situayions for a conversation. Use these to talk to each other, or even better, to talk to your hispanisc friend, or a friend who is just better in Spanish than you are. And remember, fellas it is strongly advisable to record yourself and then listen to what and how you said it. Helps tremendously, I know it from my own experience!
Here they are:
1. Háblale a tu Nuevo amigo sobre tu familia.
2. Muéstrale a tu compañero de clase tu album de fotos y contesta a todas sus preguntas.
3. Tus padres te halan sobre sus hermanos, a quienes te pareces muchos.
4. Preguntas a tus abuelos (tíos) a los que has venido a visitor, sobre su parentela.
5. Tu hermano (hermana) mayor te cuenta sobre la familia de su novia (novio).
6. Haz preguntas sobre la edad de los parientes de tus padres.
7. Cuéntale a uno de tus parientes que vive muy lejos sobre las relaciones que se han formado entre ti y tus familiares.
Now, very important. I guarantee 99.9% chance that most of you are going to skip this exercise. You know why you will do this? Because this exercise requires some work and some thinking on your part. This kind of exercise really gets you somewhere. And do not tell me that you do not know enough Spanish for it. Of course, you don’t. Otherwise you would not turn to some lousy blog to study Spanish. But if you don’t start using the language – you are NEVER going to learn it, so just do not waste your time!
