Hello friends! Let’s do some translating today. I am going to present several sentences that you will have to translate. You will be able to successfully do so if you have read and understood yesterday’s text.
Now, before we begin. I do not want you to think that this is the only way to learn Spanish. What I am presenting here is just a way to refresh some knowledge that you might have learned or heard somewhere. I presume that you do something else besides this blog. For instance, at the moment I am reading (and RECORDING myself) La Vuelta al Mundo en 80 Días by Julio Verne. I do it at least 30 to 40 minutes a day, every time covering 2 to 3 chapters. I had never read the book nor seen the movie (I know there is one). When a kid, I used to watch a motion picture (cartoon) with many episodes (I think it was of French production). It was one of my favorites. Anyways, what I am trying to say is make yourself busy with Spanish doing something you feel excited about. Every day I can’t wait for the evening to dive into the adventurous world of Fileas Fogg and his true, but a little stupid servant Picaporte (the picture is exactly from the motion picture I loved as a child). Besides, I get to practice Spanish. Not that I love my recordings too much, but I do not care. I know I improve every day. Also, before going to bed, I watch a movie in Spanish (I almost never know how the movie ends, but I get extra 30 to 60 minutes of Spanish before I go to sleep). Plus, while working on this blog, I am listening to an audio book in Spanish. You know, I do not have much free time for Spanish learning, being a busy person, just like all of us these days, but If there is a will, there is a way!
Now, let’s get to translating:
1. We are going up to the second floor.
2. In the hallway there is a small wooden table.
3. There is a mirror above it.
4. There is a coat rack to the left of the door.
5. The walls are all painted bright.
6. There is an oilskin black folder on the table.
7. The hallway is all dark.
8. The dining room is not large.
9. There is a big dresser on the right.
There is a square table in the center.
There is a vase with flowers on the table.
The chairs are ordinary.
The TV is in the corner.
Well, enough, I think, guys. Get to work!
Lots of love, lots of respect,
Igor
